So who am I?

I’m the girl that took way too long to find out how great life is, and now I’m determined to experience life at it’s best and to the fullest! There are some up and downs, and much laughter along the way (mostly at myself)…but I love every minute of it. I mean really, how can I not?

What is Girl Gone Good?

It’s my journey of ‘going good’, making healthy positive changes in order to live a more fulfilling life.

The focus is on anything that involves looking at life with a healthier more upbeat perspective. So whether it’s the tidbits of good news, healthy recipes, fitness obstacles and successes, relationship blunders we can laugh at, world-wide adventures, feel good charities or little quirks of the day, I’ll try and keep it all here.

Why did I start blogging?

I’ve traveled the world enjoying new friendships and inspiring moments at every moment. I’m a bit of a storyteller and try my best to evoke emotions in my stories whether it’s to warm your heart or make you bust with laughter. On one of my last trips I visited Mr Ketut in Bali for a healing. Yes, THAT Mr Ketut. He looked at me with confused eyes and asked why wasn’t I writing? I’m a creative person with lots to share and he saw writing in my life. After traveling around South East Asia for almost two months on my own, I met all sorts of wonderful people with many asking; “why aren’t you writing?” I’m not a writer, or artist, or actor but I do have a passion for story telling and sharing insights that reflect the lighter side of life.  So this is me world, deciding to share with you. Enjoy!

My thoughts on change?

Right, so sometimes there’s enough drama and negativity in the world to suck our souls if we let it.  The problem is, it’s only an issue if we allow it to be. Ya, I know that sounds overly simplistic and I can hear all the “buts” “you don’t understand” and “its impossible” you’re shouting back. Well, chances are you’re in that negative spot because you allow yourself to be. (I said chances are…I do understand life circumstance) So change.  CHANGE. Life really is too short not to be happy.  Determine your end goal, what will actually make you happy. Then find out how to get there, and make smaller goals. With one foot in front of the other, fight for the small goals and eventually make the big ones happen.

Life is fabulous, more than fabulous actually, and there’s opportunity to change and be happy around every corner. Look closely, they are there.

So me, well, I was stuck in a rut.  Actually I had a great job but I wasn’t happy.  I was definitely successful but not happy. So I changed, EVERYTHING (not saying people have to change everything to be happy, only the things you don’t like).  Now I really enjoy life and appreciate the little things, and it’s these little things that I want to share.
